Jon Jones has made a few public comments now regarding his recent and latest arrest, but Daniel Cormier is calling on his longtime rival to show some remorse.

The UFC’s former light heavyweight champ was recently arrested in Las Vegas and charged with misdemeanor battery domestic violence, following an alleged incident with his fiancee.

Since then, Jones has denied hitting his fiancee, and has also said publicly that he will no longer drink alcohol.

During a recent video Cormier posted on his YouTube channel, the former champ-champ took issue with how Jones has acted since the alleged incident (quotes via MMA Junkie).

“From me to this guy, we’ll never be friends. But human to human, you’ve got to get your sh*t right. And show some remorse,” Cormier said. “Before you hit that send button on those tweets, you’ve got to think about what you’re saying. It seems as though you tell yourself so many lies that you start to believe them. Don’t lie to yourself. Surround yourself with people that are gonna tell you the truth and then find some answers, otherwise it’s gonna be done. Because it’s actually close to being done.”

Cormier fought Jones in 2015 and 2017 and lost both fights. The second result was overturned to a no-contest, however, after Jones tested positive for a banned substance.
