UFC 300 has received another compelling fight, as former flyweight champ Deiveson Figueiredo will battle former bantamweight champ, Cody Garbrandt.

Recently, UFC President Dana White announced via social media that the former champs will fight at the April 13th card, which is taking place in Las Vegas.

Figueiredo (22-3-1) moved up to bantamweight last year and in December, he recorded a unanimous decision win over Rob Font. The Brazilian fighter has gone 2-2-1 in his last five bouts, with both of those losses coming against fellow, former flyweight champ, Brandon Moreno.

Garbrandt (14-5) has won two straight fights after returning to the bantamweight division, following a knockout loss to Kai Kara-France. Since returning to 135, the American has recorded a decision win over Font and more recently, Garbrandt knocked out Brian Kelleher.

Earlier this week, it was announced that strawweight champion Zhang Weili take on her fellow, Chinese citizen, Yan Xianonan at UFC 300.

The card’s main event has yet to be announced.
