Dillon Danis Says Bellator “NYC” Numbers Will “Skyrocket” if He’s Added to Card

Dillon Danis isn’t currently booked for Bellator’s June 24th card at Madison Square Garden, but according to the prospect, the promotion would be well advised to add him to the line-up.

The renowned jiu-jitsu competitor and training partner of Conor McGregor recently signed with Bellator. Danis has yet, however, to fight in a pro-MMA bout. Recently MMA Junkie caught up with Danis, and while discussing Bellator “NYC”, he stated this:

“We’d have to talk,” Danis said. “We’d have to talk numbers, we’d have to talk everything. Just enticement. Because at the end of the day, that pay-per-view is not going to sell unless I’m on it.

“They’ve got a bunch of guys that no one cares about. But you put me on there, and the numbers will skyrocket, in my hometown, Madison Square Garden. The ball’s in their field.”

Danis also recently claimed that he is the “highest paid” fighter in Bellator, which was quickly met with skepticism and dismissals by many observers.

The upcoming, June 24th card will feature Chael Sonnen vs. Wanderlei Silva and Fedor Emelianenko vs. Matt Mitrione in the headliner and co-main event.
