Georges St-Pierre has made it clear that he hopes to return to the Octagon, and wants to do so soon. But, the former welterweight champ says he may have to focus on other endeavours, if a deal with the UFC isn’t reached sooner or later.

In recent weeks, St-Pierre has reported that he wants to fight again, and that he’s entered USADA’s drug testing program, with the intention to compete before 2016 concludes. But, GSP has also said he needs to negotiate a new contract with the UFC, before he can return to the cage.

More recently, St-Pierre revealed to MMA Fighting.com that he’s turned down more acting opportunities, so that he can stay focused on competing.

“We’ll see,” St-Pierre said, while discussing his management’s ongoing talks with the UFC. “I’ve refused a lot of projects because of this. At one point, I’ll have to make a choice.

“I want to stay sharp. I want to stay in shape. It’s either you go in movies or you go in fighting. You have to do one good.”

St-Pierre, who hasn’t fought since 2013,  has a role in the new movie “Kickboxer: Vengeance”.
