Khamzat Chimaev Tells Stephen Thompson They’re “Fighting Next”

Stephen Thompson recently began campaigning for a fight with Leon Edwards, but it looks like Khamzat Chimaev has a different plan for “Wonderboy”.
On Tuesday, Thompson used Twitter for the first time to call a fighter out, as he respectfully challenged his fellow welterweight contender, Edwards.
Not long after, however, Chimaev tweeted out this.

Chimaev is coming off a 17 second, knockout win over Gerald Meerschaert this past weekend at UFC Vegas 11, which moved his record to 9-0.
The rising star was expected to face Demian Maia next, but it’s not clear whether that fight will materialize.
