Following Henry Cejudo’s withdrawal from UFC 292, Marlon “Chito” Vera has called out former bantamweight champ, Petr Yan.
Vera was scheduled to fight Cejudo at the August 19th event. But, recently the former bantamweight and flyweight champ announced he’s withdrawing due to a shoulder injury. Since then, “Chito” tweeted out the challenge below.

Yan (16-5) has lost his last three fights, as the Russian fighter dropped split decision losses to Aljamain Sterling and Sean O’Malley, before losing by unanimous decision to Merab Dvalishvili.
Vera (20-8), meanwhile, is coming off a split decision loss to Cory Sandhagen, which snapped his four-fight winning streak.
UFC 292 is taking place in Boston, Massachusetts, and in the main event, Sterling will look to defend the bantamweight title against O’Malley.
