Earlier on Tuesday, Conor McGregor buzzed the MMA world by announcing he’s retiring from fighting, and according to reports, Dana White has confirmed that the star has been pulled from UFC 200.

After McGregor tweeted he’s elected to “retire young”, many assumed the featherweight champ was just kidding, since he’s booked to fight Nate Diaz at UFC 200. But, since McGregor made the post, White has confirmed on ESPN’s SportsCenter that the Irish fighter will no longer fight Diaz on July 9th.

According to White, McGregor refused to travel from Iceland to Las Vegas for promotional appearances and “training”. As a result, McGregor has been pulled from UFC 200. White added that only McGregor “can answer” whether he’s in fact retiring from professional MMA.
