Report: Dana White Says Gina Carano Contract Negotiations “Complicated”
By FCF Staff
Although UFC President Dana White relayed recently that the promotion is close to signing Gina Carano, it looks as though negotiations with the star have slowed.
Last week, White said that Carano could be added to the UFC roster within days, and that a bout between the Strikeforce vet and bantamweight champ Ronda Rousey could take place in December.
While speaking to the media after UFC on FOX 12, however, White had this to say about the talks with Carano (quote via MMA Fighting.com):
“It’s complicated,” White said. “It’s going very positive, but it’s complicated.”
The 32 year-old Carano hasn’t fought since 2009, when she was stopped by Cris “Cyborg”. Prior to the defeat, the fighter turned actress, won seven straight.
