Recently the UFC announced that Hector Lombard will no longer fight Rory MacDonald at UFC 186 on April 25th as scheduled, and now the MMA world knows why.

According to reports, Lombard allegedly tested positive for the steroid desoxymethyltestosterone, following his unanimous decision win over Josh Burkman at UFC 182 on January 3rd. The event was held in Las Vegas, Nevada.

News of Lombard’s test results were reported first by MMA Fighting.com. A follow up request from Full Contact Fighter to the Nevada Commission for verification was not immediately responded to.

The UFC is reportedly looking for a new opponent for MacDonald.

Earlier on Tuesday, Lombard relayed on Instagram that he was unaware that his bout with MacDonald had been called off. The 37 year-old fighter, who is currently riding a three fight win streak, has yet to receive a date for his hearing with the commission.

(Update: the NSAC has sent Full Contact Fighter a copy of the test results which were sent to Lombard, and relay that the fighter has allegedly tested positive for desoxymethyltestosterone)
