After a class action lawsuit against the Ultimate Fighting Championship was formally announced on Tuesday, the promotion has issued a brief, yet direct, statement in response.

The following statement was posted on the official UFC site, in response to the class action lawsuit, which accuses the promotion of violating antitrust laws.

The UFC is aware of the action filed today but has not been served, nor has it had the opportunity to review the document. The UFC will vigorously defend itself and its business practices.

At a press conference today in San Jose, Cung Le, Jon Fitch and Nate Quarry were named as plaintiffs in the suit, which is being overseen by several lawfirms.
