Bellator 225 featured plenty of action and nothing but finishes, but as it turns out, the August 24th card struggled in the ratings.

The recent event, which took place in Bridgeport, Connecticut, featured a rematch between heavyweight sluggers Sergei Kharitonov and Matt Mitrione (their first fight earlier this year was declared a no-contest, after Kharitonov couldn’t continue due to a low blow). Kharitonov won the rematch via second round stoppage.

According to a follow up report from MMA Fighting’s Dave Meltzer, Bellator 225 pulled only 285,000 viewers for the Paramount Network. Those numbers make it the second lowest watched event for a prime time, Bellator card this year. Bellator’s March 22nd card reportedly drew only 255,000 viewers.

Bellator 225 was up against pre-season NFL action between the Dallas Cowboys and the Houston Texans , as well as the Miami vs. Florida college football game.
