By FCF Staff
The Ultimate Fighting Championship continues to fill out its spring schedule, and it’s being reported that Cody Garbrandt and Raphael Assuncao have agreed to fight in March.
The bantamweight contenders have verbally agreed to battle at the UFC’s March 28th card in Columbus, according to a report from ESPN.
Garbrandt (11-3) is looking to end a three-fight losing streak. Following consecutive losses to T.J. Dillashaw, the former champion was stopped by Pedro Munhoz this past March.
Assuncao (27-7), meanwhile, is coming off back-to-back losses to Marlon Moraes and Cory Sandhagen. The decision defeat to Sandhagen took place in August.
The upcoming event in Columbus will feature a heavyweight fight between Francis Ngannou and Jairzinho Rozenstruik in the headliner.
