By FCF Staff
Recently UFC President Dana White revealed that welterweight champ Georges St. Pierre would fight Johny Hendricks in November, and now it appears the all-star bout has a date. According to a report from the “UFC Tonight” program, St.Pierre and Hendricks will battle November 16th.
As expected, the fight will take place in Las Vegas, however a venue has not been announced. The card’s number is expected to be UFC 167.
St. Pierre (24-2) will be fighting for the first time since he outscored Nick Diaz for the unanimous decision win in March, at UFC 158. The fight followed St. Pierre defeating Carlos Condit by UD in November.
The renowned 32 year-old champion has now won 11 straight bouts.
Hendricks (15-1) has worked his way to a title shot by defeating the likes of Martin Kampmann, Jon Fitch, Josh Koscheck and most recently Condit. The decorated wrestler and feared striker has won six consecutive fights.
