Following the news Deiveson Figueiredo and Brandon Moreno have verbally agreed to fight at UFC 256, it’s being reported the Petr Yan – Aljamain Sterling bout has been pulled from the card.

Yan was scheduled to defend the bantamweight title against Sterling at the December 12th card, which will take place at the Apex Facility in Las Vegas. Recently, however, RT reported that the title fight has been postponed due to undisclosed reasons.

ESPN is also reporting that sources have confirmed Yan has withdrawn from UFC 256. Yan is reportedly not injured. But the reason for his withdrawal is not known yet.

Yan (15-1) secured the vacant bantamweight title in July by stopping the legendary, Jose Aldo.

Sterling (19-3), on the other hand, is coming off a quick submission win over Cory Sandhagen in June.
