Renato “Moicano”

The UFC continues to build out its October schedule, as it’s being reported that a fight between Renato Moicano and Magomed Mustafaev has been booked.

The former featherweight contender will reportedly face the Mustafaev on October 17th. The match-up was reported first by Combate and MMA Junkie has also confirmed with sources the fight is a go.

Moicano (14-3) is coming off a submission win over lightweight Damir Hadžović in March, which served as his lightweight debut. Prior to the win, the Brazilian fighter had dropped back-to-back bouts to Jose Aldo and Chan Sung Jung.

Mustafaev (14-3) is looking to get back on track after losing via split decision to Brad Riddell in February. The Russian fighter is 3-2 in his last 5 bouts.
