By FCF Staff
It remains to be seen when we will see Tony Ferguson back in the Octagon, but it looks like “El Cucuy’s” UFC return could be finalized soon.
The former interim lightweight champ and his team have been meeting with UFC officials this week in Las Vegas. More recently, ESPN’s Brett Okamoto has reported that the meeting went “well”, and while no bout has been signed, it’s possible that could change soon.
In addition, Ferguson shared out this video via Twitter:

Ferguson has been sidelined after it was reported earlier this year that the fighter’s wife had filed for a temporary restraining order against him. The 35-year-old fighter had allegedly been acting erratically; however, no charges were ever filed and his wife decided to not proceed with the legal proceedings. Ferguson had also publicly stated that he planned to seek help.
