Recently it was reported that the May 9th, UFC 249 card would take place in Florida. Now it’s being reported that the event will be hosted by Jacksonville.

UFC 249 was originally scheduled to take place on April 18th. But, due to restrictions to battle the coronavirus pandemic, the UFC was forced to cancel plans to host the event in Brooklyn, New York and then nearby Lemoore, California.

More recently it’s been reported that the UFC will now hold the event in Florida, where restrictions on certain businesses have been eased. Now the Wrestling Observer Newsletter’s Dave Meltzer has reported that a source has informed him Jacksonville’s VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena will host the card.

UFC 249 will be headlined by a bout between Tony Ferguson and Justin Gaethje for an interim lightweight title.
