Report: UFC’s Dana White on Board With Possible Nick Diaz-Matt Brown Scrap

Nick Diaz

By FCF Staff

Although Nate Diaz says he wants to fight Matt Brown, Dana White has made it clear only his brother Nick will be considered for a scrap with the surging welterweight.

The UFC President weighed in on the possibility of a Diaz facing Brown next, on the latest edition of “UFC Tonight.” According to a report from MMA Fighting.com, White argued that a Brown-Nate Diaz fight doesn’t make sense, since the latter has lost two straight and has been fighting at lightweight.

On the other hand, White relayed “If Nick Diaz wants to come out and fight Brown, I’ll do that fight.”

It remains to be seen when and if Nick Diaz will return to action, as the welterweight has remained on the sidelines since his decision loss to Georges St-Pierre last March.

Brown is currently riding a seven fight win streak, and fellow contender Hector Lombard has also expressed his interest in facing the welterweight.
