Recently Dustin Poirier reported that he’s been unable to come to terms with the UFC for a much-discussed, match-up with Tony Ferguson, and Dana White’s said the fight isn’t happening. But, recently Ferguson turned to Twitter as a means to campaign for the bout.

The UFC was looking at having Ferguson and Poirier fight at UFC 254, which is taking place on October 24th. A fight between lightweight champ Khabib Nurmagomedov and interim champ Justin Gaethje is headlining the card.

Following Poirier’s comments that the fight isn’t happening, and White’s confirmation of the failed talks, Ferguson tweeted out this.

“Here’s Lookin’ At You Kid” Pay the man @danawhite @ufc Love ya’ll but let’s give the Hardcore & Casual fans what they deserve, a good fight Sir @DustinPoirier

The 36-year-old Ferguson (25-4) is coming off a stoppage loss to Justin Gaethje in May, which ended his 12 fight winning streak.
