After turning himself into Albuquerque authorities, UFC Light-Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones has been released from custody, after posting bail.

According to a report from the Albuquerque based, KOB 4 , the 27 year-old fighter posted $2,500 bail, after receiving a felony charge of leaving the scene of an accident.

Jones is being accused of fleeing the scene of a car accident, which sent a pregnant woman to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Later it was revealed that she had suffered a broken arm in the incident.

If convicted, the renowned fighter could receive a maximum jail sentence of three years.

Jones is currently scheduled to fight Anthony Johnson at UFC 187 on May 23rd.
