Sage Northcutt

Sage Northcutt will be fighting at welterweight, and not lightweight, at UFC on FOX 18, as the promotion has announced he is now fighting Bryan Barberena.

Northcutt had been scheduled to fight Andrew Holbrook on January 30th, however, the latter has withdrawn due to injury. No details regarding the extent of the injury were provided.

Barberena was booked to fight welterweight Jonavin Webb on February 21st, but the former lightweight has agreed to step in for Holbrook. Barberena (10-3) is coming off a decision loss to Chad Laprise and is 1-1 in the UFC.

Northcutt (7-0) tapped out Cody Pfister in his last outing and the highly touted prospect has gone 2-0 thus far in the Octagon.

UFC on FOX 18 will take place in Newark, New Jersey.
