Conor McGregor may have called out several of the UFC’s top featherweights recently, but the rising star won’t be able to fight any of them, any time soon.

After it was initially believed that the knee injury McGregor incurred during his recent decision win over Max Holloway wasn’t serious, an MRI has revealed the featherweight has torn his ACL. In addition, the MRI showed the Irish fighter has strained his MCL and has torn his posterior horn meniscal. As a result, McGregor is expected to be sidelined for approximately 10 months due to the injury.

News of McGregor’s injury was reportedly passed along by UFC President Dana White on the latest episode of “FOX Sports Live.”

McGregor made his Octagon debut at a UFC on FUEL TV in April and quickly stopped Marcus Brimage with strikes. The 25 year-old fighter has won 10 straight bouts.
