UFC’s Michael Bisping Blasts Luke Rockhold Again, Says He’s “The Man” to Fight Middleweight Next

Although Michael Bisping is scheduled to fight Cung Le on August 23rd, the middleweight continues to throw verbal jabs at his rival, Luke Rockhold.

Bisping was asked to weigh-in on who Rockhold should fight next, on the latest edition of “UFC Tonight”. The outspoken vet relayed (quote via FOX Sports press release):

“When Luke Rockhold is done making a douche bag out of himself, hanging out at pool parties with teenagers, if he wants to get back to business and step into the Octagon, I’m the man for the job,” said Bisping. “After his last fight, he called me out. But then he said he hurt his little pinky toe. If his toe’s healed up, and he wants to get back to business, we can go toe to toe, or pinky to pinky.”

The rivalry between Rockhold and Bisping dates back to when the latter claimed he had bettered Rockhold in sparring.

Bisping is coming off a decision loss to Tim Kennedy in April, and has gone 2-3 in his last 5 bouts.

Rockhold, meanwhile, has stopped Costas Philippou and Tim Boetsch in his last two outings and is 4-1 in his last 5 fights. The former Strikeforce champ is not currently booked for a bout.
