Wanderlei Silva Reports he Could Retire Following Fourth Bout With “Rampage” Jackson
By FCF Staff
Recently Bellator announced that Wanderlei Silva will take on “Rampage” Jackson for a fourth time, September 29th, and as it turns out, it could mark the last time the legend competes.
The bout will serve as the co-headliner for the San Jose card, which will also mark the debut of Bellator’s streaming deal with DAZN.
After the bout was announced, Silva informed the media that he plans to run for political office in Brazil. In addition, the former PRIDE champ said this (quote via MMA Junkie):
“Maybe this is going to be my last fight, and after, I’ll go to the next step,” the Brazilian star stated.
The 41 year-old Silva is coming off a decision loss to Chael Sonnen last June, which dropped his overall record to 35-13-1. Silva is 2-1 so far in bouts with Jackson.
