By FCF Staff
Following the latest arrest of UFC light-heavyweight champ Jon Jones, Thiago Santos is calling for the star to be stripped of his title. “Marreta” is also proposing that he fight Dominick Reyes to determine a new champion.
Jones was was arrested in Albuquerque, New Mexico, early Thursday morning for charges of driving under the influence, negligent use of a firearm and possession of an open container. Since then, Santos tweeted out the following proposal.
I think UFCs 205 div needs a new champ! ( One thats not forever in trouble!)
I think me and Reyes deserve to fight for that belt! @danawhite @Mickmaynard2 @ufc @DomReyes @UFCBrasil @Alexdavismma @espnmma

Santos faced Jones last July at UFC 239 and lost the tightly contested bout via split decision. Santos has not fought since, due to knee injuries he sustained early in the fight.
Reyes fought Jones this past February and lost the bout via unanimous decision. Many people, however, scored the fight for Reyes.
