Following the withdrawal of Dominick Cruz from the UFC’s upcoming card in Seattle, it’s being reported that Jean Matsumoto has agreed to fight Rob Font at the event.

Cruz was originally scheduled to fight Font on February 22nd. But, the former bantamweight champ dislocated his shoulder and subsequently announced he was retiring.

More recently, MMA Junkie.com is reporting that Matsumoto (16-0) has agreed to fight Font (21-8) in a 140-pound catch-weight contest at UFC Seattle. The undefeated fighter was booked to fight Chris Gutierrez at UFC 313 on March 8th.

The 37-year-old Font (21-8) is coming off a decision win over Kyler Phillips in October and is 2-3 in his last 5 contests.

Matsumoto, who is 25, also last competed in October and recorded a decision win over Brad Katona.
