Dan Henderson Offers to Fight Lyoto Machida at UFC 173
By FCF Staff
Dan Henderson may only be a couple days removed from his stoppage win over “Shogun” Rua, in a bout that also saw him take some heavy shots, but the 43 year-old is willing to fight Lyoto Machida at UFC 173.
On Monday, the UFC announced that Machida and middleweight champ Chris Weidman will no longer fight May 24th, as the latter has injured his knee. Instead, the fight has been moved to UFC 175, on July 5th.
Henderson, however, clearly wants to avenge the split decision loss he incurred versus Machida last February. The decorated fighter tweeted recently:
Hey @danawhite, let me have @lyotomachidafw, just like you let him have @jonnybones when I got hurt @ufc

Henderson’s win over Rua, Sunday, ended the former PRIDE champ’s three fight losing skid.
