Renato Moicano certainly appeared to be firing on all cylinders at UFC Paris. But, following his win over Benoit Saint Denis this weekend, the lightweight contender revealed he incurred a serious shoulder injury weeks out from the bout.

Moicano faced Saint Denis in the card’s headliner this weekend, and after dominating round one with vicious ground-and-pound offence, the bout was eventually called by the cageside doctor. Since then, Moicano shared with Yahoo Sports’ Kevin Iole images and x-rays of an apparent broken clavicle he incurred leading up to the fight. According to the report, Moicano sustained the injury three weeks prior of UFC Paris.

With Saturday’s win, the 35-year-old Moicano (20-5-1) has won four straight fights.
