Not long after Bellator President Scott Coker relayed that he’s been in discussions with Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic, it’s being reported that the heavyweight is returning to the UFC.

According to multiple reports, the UFC has signed the 40 year-old “Cro Cop” to a new deal, following the fighter’s 3-1 run outside the organization. News of “Cro Cop’s pending UFC return was reported first by Bloody Elbow.com.

Filipovic (30-11-2) hasn’t fought in the UFC since he was stopped by Roy Nelson in October, 2011, which at the time, was his third straight loss.

The noted striker has also returned to kickboxing during this time, and has posted a 7-1 record.

The UFC hasn’t made any official announcement regarding “Cro Cop’s” return or his next bout.

To date, the Croatian fighter has gone 4-6 in the Octagon.
