Paul Felder is Stepping up to Battle Rafael dos Anjos

The UFC has found a top ranked lightweight for Rafael dos Anjos to face this Saturday, on just five days notice, as Paul Felder has agreed to battle the former champ.
Islam Makhachev was initially scheduled to fight dos Anjos in the main event of UFC Vegas 14. But recently it was reported he had to drop out due to an undisclosed injury.
UFC President Dana White has informed ESPN that Felder has agreed to fight dos Anjos on November 14th, and that the fight will be at 155 pounds.
In the aforementioned report, Felder’s manager Brian Butler said this.
“Any other time, this would have been impossible. But Paul has been biking and swimming like a mad man. He woke up this morning and his health data says he’s peaking. The universe wanted this to happen,” Felder’s manager, Brian Butler, said.
The 35-year-old Felder (17-5) hasn’t fought since February, when he lost via split decision to Dan Hooker, in what was an all-out war. Felder is currently ranked #7 in the UFC’s lightweight division.
The 36-year-old dos Anjos (29-13) is returning to the lightweight after fighting at welterweight since 2016.
