Rashad Evans to Face Ryan Bader in Octagon Return
By FCF Staff
Former UFC light-heavyweight champ Rashad Evans has his next bout, as the fighter has been booked to fight fellow contender Ryan Bader on October 3rd.
The fight will mark the first time Evans (19-3-1) has fought since November, 2013, when he stopped Chael Sonnen in the opening round. The 35 year-old, who has been sidelined due to knee injuries, is 3-2 in his last 5 bouts.
Bader (19-4), meanwhile, is riding a four fight winning streak and is coming off a decision win over Phil Davis in January. Many believed Bader would be tapped to fight newly crowned champ Daniel Comrier next, however, the UFC elected to go with Alexander Gustafsson.
Bader is currently ranked #3 at 205 and Evans is #5.
UFC 192 will be hosted by the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas.
