Report: Brock Lesnar Wanted Flat Fee For Next UFC Fight, Due to PPV Model Change
By FCF Staff
Recently Dana White reported that Brock Lesnar has decided to retire from MMA, and a new report could indicate failed contract negotiations played a role in that decision.
The UFC was hoping to have Lesnar return to the organization this year for a bout with heavyweight champ, Daniel Cormier. But recently White claimed that the pro-wrestling star has decided to hang-up-the-gloves, and that the UFC’s targeting Cormier – Stiope Miocic 2.
Since then, however, Seán Sheehan from Severe MMA tweeted out this:
On the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer says Brock Lesnar wanted a flat fee for his next UFC fight due to UFC pay-per-view now being online only. Dave says the number was deemed too high & turned down by the UFC.

Recently the UFC moved its pay-per-view cards in the United States to the ESPN+ streaming service. As a result, only people who are subscribed to the service can purchase the PPV card.
