Report: Dan Henderson to Face Hector Lombard Next
By FCF Staff
It looks like Dan Henderson already has his next fight locked up, following the withdrawal of Lyoto Machida from UFC on FOX 19, as the legend will reportedly take on Hector Lombard at UFC 199.
“Hendo” was scheduled to fight Machida this Saturday night, but recently the latter informed USADA that he has been taking a banned substance, and the fight is off.
News of the Henderson – Lombard bout was reported first by Sherdog.com.
Henderson (31-14) is coming off a stoppage loss to Vitor Belfort in November, Lombard (34-5-1) was stopped by welterweight contender Neil Magny in his last bout, which took place last month. Following the defeat Lombard announced he is returning to 185.
UFC 199 will be hosted by the Forum in Los Angeles on June 4th.
