Many signs were pointing to a bout between Anthony Johnson and Ryan Bader materializing, and according to reports, the light-heavyweight fight will go down on January 30th.

During the latest “UFC Tonight” broadcast it was reported that Bader and Johnson will battle in the headliner of UFC on FOX 18, which will take place at the Prudential Center in Newark.

If not for the recent return of Jon Jones, Bader (20-4) would have likely been booked to fight champion Daniel Cormier, thanks to a five fight winning streak. Most recently, the powerful wrestler decision former champ Rashad Evans in October.

Johnson (20-5) is coming off a stoppage win over Jimi Manuwa in September, after he was submitted by Cormier this past May.

Bader is currently ranked #3 at 205 and Johnson is positioned at #1.
