TV Producer Auctioning M-1 Global Master Tape Library On Ebay, Says Promotion Owes Him Over $50K

By FCF Staff

Veteran TV producer Jerry Millen claims he is owed in excess of $50,000 by his former employer, M-1 Global. Since he said a year and a half has gone by and that he still hasn’t seen any indication that he will be paid, Millen has taken the liberty of trying to recover the funds by putting up the promotion’s master tape library for auction on Ebay.com.

“I pay my bills and, when I make commitments to people, I follow through,” said Millen, who served as a vice president for M-1’s USA operation and, prior to that, a vice president for Pride in North America.  “All I want to do is recover the money owed to me.”

Millen said that the total dollar amount owed to him is comprised of a sum of services he rendered to M-1 Global as well as money he paid out of pocket to the promotion’s TV announcers Sean Wheelock and Jimmy Smith.

“Sean and Jimmy didn’t get paid and, since I brought them on board, I felt responsible, so I paid them out of my own pocket,” said Millen.

“I understand M-1 is hurting financially, but not paying people for their work is inexcusable.”
