By FCF Staff
Recently Robert Drysdale relayed to Full Contact Fighter that he expected to be booked for his Octagon debut soon, after withdrawing from UFC 163 due to staph infection, and now he has his next fight.
According to a report from the Las Vegas Sun, Drysdale will fight Cody Donovan at UFC 167 on November 16th. The bout has since been confirmed by other outlets as well.
Drysdale (6-0) signed with the UFC earlier this year, after the renowned jiu-jitsu competitor submitted D.J. Liderman at Legacy FC 19 in April. All six of Drysdale’s wins have come via first round, submission.
Drysdale had been scheduled to fight Ednaldo Oliveira at UFC 163 on August 3rd.
Donovan (8-3) has gone 1-1 to date in the UFC. After knocking out Nick Penner at UFC on FX 6 in December, most recently Donovan was KO’d by Ovince St. Preux at UFC FN 26.
UFC 167 will be hosted by the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, and will feature welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre taking on Johny Hendricks.
