Report: Dennis Hallman and Javiez Vasquez Join UFC Lawsuit
By FCF Staff
Dennis Hallman and Javier Vasquez are reportedly the latest fighters to join a class action lawsuit against the UFC, which accuses the promotion of breaking antitrust laws.
It was announced last week that Jon Fitch, Nate Quarry and Cung Le are plaintiffs in the suit, and that further, it’s open to other fighters. News of the addition of Hallman and Vasquez to the suit is being reported by MMA Junkie.com.
The 39 year-old Hallman hasn’t fought for the UFC since 2011, when he was submitted by John Makdessi.
The 37 year-old Vasquez, meanwhile, competed for the UFC in January, 2011, and earned a unanimous decision win over Joe Stevenson. The WEC vet hasn’t fought since.
Since the lawsuit was announced, the UFC has said it will “vigorously defend itself and its business practices.”
