A UFC official recently shot down a report that said UFC 225 sold less than 150,000 buys, and a new report backs that denial.

Recently the L.A. Times cited a source that claimed UFC 225’s pay-view-sales were less than 150,000. UFC  attorney, Hunter Campbell, proceeded to say the figure was short in “excess” of six figures.

Now, an industry source has told MMA Fighting the June 9th, Chicago card is believed to have sold around 250,000 PPV buys (as of the end of last week).

UFC 225 was headlined by a middleweight fight between Robert Whittaker and Yoel Romero, and in the co-main event, Rafael dos Anjos battled Colby Covington for the interim welterweight title.
